Fletch started his musical career around 1981 when (as a mere youth) he joined a new band - Silverlode - also involving Wilko. This outfit played many gigs around local Retford area - including several memorable ones at the Porterhouse.
After the demise of Silverlode, Gildenfire were formed.
Again concentrating on Retford area, many gigs were undertaken - the highlight being the much acclaimed Town Hall Video.
After a hiatus of several years and bumping into Wilko one evening in 2006 at the legendary Clinton Arms, the seeds were sown for The Mutz Nutz.
3 stints over a few lineup changes spread over 7 years followed.
After taking another break from drumming from 2014 - 2021 eventually Fletch and Wilko assembled the current lineup of Half Nutz
